EVERYTHING FOR A RELAXED STAY

We want our guests to have a great stay in Italy. We can also imagine that you have many questions before you travel to Casa PRIMO. Here are some tips that may come in handy before and during your stay in Le Marche. We also answer questions that we often get from our guests.

How can we best travel to Casa Primo?

  • The best flight route is Ancona (1 hour drive). From Rome or Bologna it is about 2.5 to 3 hours drive.
Good alternatives are Florence and Pescara.
  • By car it is about 1600 KM (from Utrecht). We recommend traveling through Switzerland through the Gotthard tunnel. You do need a vignette for this. You pay toll in Italy just under 35 Euro for a single journey.

What happens after we make a reservation?

  • After your request has been confirmed by email by Casa Primo, it is final. You will receive a written confirmation by e-mail within a few days with the confirmation of the booked week or weeks and the invoice.
  • In the week before your stay you will receive a message from Casa PRIMO with the latest information regarding check-in and tips for during your stay. We make sure that a cold bottle of wine is ready on arrival and also a simple breakfast for the next morning (if you arrive late).

Where can we rent a car?

  • We usually rent from 'Sicily by Car'. This rental company often offers excellent rates and conditions. But the best you can search for is www.arguscarhire.com. This site provides an overview of all rental companies and prices for car rental. A small car (Fiat 500 for example) can already be rented in the low season for about 12 Euro per day or less. Prices depend on the season and car class. Keep in mind that snow chains or winter tires are mandatory in Italy in snow.

What’s your cancelation policy?

  • In case of cancellation by the tenant up to six weeks before the date of arrival, a 50% refund of the rental amount will take place. In case of cancellation within six weeks before the date of arrival, no refund will be made. We recommend that you take out cancellation and travel insurance.

Which beaches would you recommend to go to?

  • The beaches of Civitanova Marche and Porto Sant Elpidio are the closest. Just like the beaches of Porto Recanati, there are many bars and restaurants along the beach and a promenade.
  • The most beautiful beaches are at Conero, Portonovo, Sirolo and Numana.
  • Spiaggia di San Michele is very beautiful and Spiaggia Mezzavalle is also a favorite with our guests. It’s a steep descent to get to the beach, but a beautiful place. Delicious restaurants in these coastal towns as well, of various price ranges.

We recommend going to the beach a little early in the day as parking can sometimes be a bit tricky close to the beach. However, you will usually find larger parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. And for the Conero beaches, a bus often goes from larger parking spaces to the beach entrance.

Which sites are worth a visit in the neighborhood of Casa PRIMO?

  • Whether you like being active, strolling through old towns or tasting wine in the wineries of Le Marche, there is plenty to do within an hour's drive from Casa PRIMO. You can find some tips on the ENVIRONMENT page.
  • The Abbadia di Fiastra is in the immediate vicinity. This abbey is located in a nature reserve where you can walk, run, ride a horse and mountain bike. There is also a golf course.
  • The Grotte di Frasassi are the largest cave systems in Europe and stunningly beautiful.
  • Macerata, the university city and also the capital of the province is worth a visit.
  • The towns of Fermo, Loreto and Ascoli Piceno are worth a day trip. Ancient squares, cathedrals, streets to stroll through and good food of course. Just like Urbino but that is a further drive.
  • If you like to go into the mountains, the Monti Sibilini are the best choice. Nice stops are the Lago di Fiastra for swimming and water sports. Or, for example, the renaissance villages of Sarnano and Amandola.
  • You can take beautiful walks to Montemonaco, Monte Vettore and the piano Grande at Castellucio, where in June and July the beautiful flowers of the lentils bloom together with many other wild flowers, incredibly beautiful. Lame Rosse is a beautiful gorge, from Lago di Fiastra you walk over the dam into the mountains, through the forest and eventually you end up in the gorge with the beautiful red cut stone. Nice walk is also to the church in the mountains Eremo di San Leonardo al Volubrio.
  • Above the ski slopes it is also beautiful walking, in the summer cooling and with beautiful views over the mountains, the typical hills of Le Marche and then the Adriatic sea.
  • Monte Conero on the coast also has 12 different signposted walks from Sirolo with beautiful views over the sea and on Le due sorella, two rocks off the coast.
